22 Ways to Lift Our Vibrational Energy for Positive Living

Everything in this Universe has a vibration with Scientists discovering that matter is a form of energy as far back as 1905, something that mystics had known for centuries beforehand. Each of us, each animal, every rock and tree, star, Sun, or a galaxy is comprised of vibrational energy. This fact has been noted in recent times in such prestigious journals as the Scientific American, which, in a delightfully entitled article, ‘The Hippies Were Right: It’s All about Vibrations, Man!: A new theory of consciousness’, states:

All things in our universe are constantly in motion, vibrating. Even objects that appear to be stationary are in fact vibrating, oscillating, resonating, at various frequencies. Resonance is a type of motion, characterized by oscillation between two states. And ultimately all matter is just vibrations of various underlying fields.

This is the fundamental concept of working with our own and other’s Spiritual Anatomy as every thought, emotion and action that emanates from us has either a positive or negative vibrational energy frequency as it flows out into the All That Is. We also know that when two entities with energy interact, they vibrate in harmony or discord, according to wave function. From this derives the Law of Attraction, wherein like attracts like, everything is literally connected. This means that the frequency at which we are vibrating affects things external to us attracting more of the same, be careful what you wish for……

In an article entitled Understanding Emotions, the Spacious Therapy website nominates Vibrations as one of the four components that contribute to our emotional state, the four being:

  • Vibrational frequency component of emotion
  • Physiology/Biology component of emotion
  • Behavioural component of emotion
  • Mind component of emotion

Each of the above interacts to contribute to our overall body, mind and spirit balance. Thus, we need to take all of these factors in keeping our vibrational levels-up and avoiding downers.

In his work, Power vs Force, psychiatrist, Dr. David Hawkins, introduced the concept, now known as the Hawkins scale, which proposed a spectrum of human consciousness stretching from 1 to 1000 Mhz, with 1000 being highly enlightened. Hawkin’s concept was that every deep flows into and is registered in a morphogenetic or attractor field where it remains (parallels with notions of the Akashic Fields).

So, our vibrational energy impacts on our emotional and spiritual wellbeing and that of those around us. Most people, according to the Centre for Excellence, resonate at around 65Mhz without a dedicated spiritual practice. It pays to be aware of this as the lower the vibrational frequency, then the greater the contraction, and the lesser of Life Force in our cells. Low vibrational emotions such as anger, anxiety, grief, desire, guilt, shame, desire, pride, grief, and fear might be resonating at below 150MHz down to very low dense frequencies

As we develop our spiritual practice, we can train our vibrational level to rise as more positive spiritual states are experienced and encultured with feelings of awe, peace, joy, love and willingness, acceptance and courage raising the level. A soul filled with joy is believed to resonate more than 500MHZ, an Enlightened Being more than 700Mhz, though how the latter was gauged is hard to know given the scarcity of such Beings!

Learning to raise our own vibrational energy, and that of clients, whilst shielding ourselves and building-up our inner power to guard ourselves against people or circumstances with lower vibrational energy likely to impact on our mental and spiritual health and wellbeing, the challenge we face. Staying at a high vibration and making conscious efforts to achieve that is vital for the essence of the soul.

22 PRACTICES TO RAISE OUR VIBRATIONAL ENERGIES

Below is a list of various ways that we can lift our vibrational energies.

Meditate several times a day if possible – Starting our day with a meditative or prayer practice can assist us feeling compassionate, enthusiastic, and ready to conquer the day, raising our vibrations and setting off with a good attitude.

 Meditation is the key help soothing anxiety and stress, calm the mind, and give you a better insight into your thoughts and feelings and raise your vibrational level. This practice might involve focusing on our chakra centres, or a compassionate, forgiveness or healing focus.

Dedicated meditation and sound healing can help to raise our vibrational energies

Yoga –The poses in yoga encourage us to go deeper into both our body and mind, freeing up stagnant energy and raising our vibration.

Mindfulness – Building awareness of yourself and your surroundings as mindfulness can lead us to be more considerate and thoughtful—which will make us more likely to be kind and compassionate to others and ourselves.

Gratitude- An attitude geared to grace and gratitude facilitates vibrations at a higher state and acts as a magnet for miracles, speeding up positive manifestations, creating a vibe where abundance and love can thrive.

Crystals – meditation practices with crystals can boost positive energy and vibrations about connection and love, such as amethyst and rose quartz. Wear them on our body, place them around our home, or simply carry one in our bag.

Scanning Thought Patterns and Positive Thinking – Filter out the negative thoughts as each thought can seep into reality. Acknowledge negative thoughts them first and then let them go. Replace them with positive thoughts perhaps reframing the situation focusing on the lesson or opportunity inherent in the moment.

Walk or just sit quietly in nature –Nature has the power to heal and raise our vibrations of a person. Walk bare-effort on the grass (grounding)Hikes, trips to beaches, or in the mountains — all useful in raising our vibrations.

 Sound Bath – Recordings of gongs and bowls have been shown to facilitate a shift in our brainwave state that makes us more relaxed and receptive. If we can afford your own brass or crystal sound bowls, so much the better.

 Eat healthy, sustainable foods with a focus on organic fruits and vegetables – whole, plant-rich ingredients, good for us and our planet. “Raw and organic plant-based foods are at the highest vibration. Meats and dairy sourced from ethical suppliers are in the mid-range vibration food category. Processed foods are at the lowest vibration”. Paying attention to how eating certain foods makes us feel can help us to refine our diet. An occasional bar of chocolate won’t kill us though!

Acts of Kindness – are super-high vibrational emotions. A random or even pre-meditated act of kindness, without the expectation of recognition or reward, a beautiful practice to lift ours and the collective vibrational patterns.

Dance – Move around, turn the music up, feel the joy and stress relief inherent in dancing. Take up regular classes in a form that you love. Five Rhythms Dance, which works with the elements of earth, fire, air, water and ether is very powerful.

Conscious Deep Breathing – Helps raise our vibrations by taking a few deep breaths into the belly—breathing in for a count of 4, pausing at the top of the in-breath, and breathing out for a count of 4, pausing at the bottom of the out-breath. Deep breathing raises our auric vibration.

Seek Out and Cultivate High-Vibrational Relationships – Ensure that the people in your life lift you up rather than drag you down, spend time with those who love and support you and whom you love and support in return. This includes our immediate family, extended family, friends, and acquaintances. We should choose the people that we surround our self with wisely. If someone is not suitable to our vibe, it is better to set healthy boundaries while staying polite.

Be Aware of Objects and Their Energies – Delighted to see this point in the course notes as this is often overlooked. Inanimate objects lying around our house, pictures, artefacts, the very walls and sites of our homes can carry both positive and negative energies. Decluttering, feng-shui practices, smudging and other ceremonies to raise the vibrations can assist in keeping our own vibrational levels high.

Mindful Choice of Music – Inspiring, happy and motivational songs, or music, can raise our vibration in an instant. Much classical, though not all, can help raise the vibrational level. On the other hand, heavy metal, some forms of rap, or dark music can serve to lower the surrounding vibrational levels. (see article The Power of Solfeggio Frequencies)

Quality of our Screen Time – Particularly in these time, programs or content that have emotionally charged scenes, with an emphasis on violence, crime or horror are not helpful. Limiting the amount of news that we watch can also help raise the vibrational level in ourselves and surroundings.

Social Media- Many of us, myself included, love social media and the opportunities for connection and information flow that it affords. Regrettably, there is a dark side too in should we get too embroiled in conspiracy theories, hateful or negative rhetoric, or we allow it to fill our every waking hour. It pays to be mindful of our use.

Computer Gaming- Whilst gaming can be fun, too much focus on violent, sexist, or dark video games for countless hours is not helpful in raining vibrational energies, and indeed, has the opposite effect.

Cut Back on Alcohol and Drugs- Sadly, for those of us who enjoy a glass of wine or a beer or three, Alcohol is a low vibration product. When it enters the body, it causes low vibrations. Drinking in moderation is fine whilst remaining aware of the effects of alcohol and other recreational and heavy drugs if serious about raising our vibrational levels.

Forgiveness –Release guilt, let go of the past. Forgive ourselves in the first instance, others along the way. There are specific meditative practices that help facilitate this process.

Practice Self-Love – Self-compassion, think good thoughts, and treating our body well.

Listen to Solfeggio Frequencies – Solfeggio frequencies have the power to affect the mind and body therapeutically. There are a total of nine frequencies. I have put together a Spotify list of High Frequency music which can be found at

Pink Himalayan salt crystals, salt lamps or tea-light holder can absorb negative energies and raise the vibration. They are also great for lessening the damp in rooms. Beware of placing them on a precious surfaces as they can leach during very wet weather if not turned on.

Feng Shui – Feng Shui is a Chinese practice that allows energy to flow easily. Discussed in detail in later question.

Do things that bring us joy and laugh often – Get it?

Use Affirmations – Words are Powerful use positive set of words to can use to reprogram our subconscious mind and raise our vibration.

 Gossiping – Avoid Gossiping as it lowers their vibration, a big cause of blocking our ability to manifest.

Live as much as possible in the Now Moment –  can raise our vibrations. anchoring our soul to the here and now, a person can build a strong spiritual foundation. See the work of Eckhardt Tolle to deepen this understanding.
